Beautiful evening.
Devastation.
I was sitting in traffic today with rain beating my windshield and lightning dancing around me when the story of the Moore, OK tornado broke through over the radio. Shocked and mortified by the radio host’s disbelief at the devastation and the leveled school of elementary school children….my heart sank. As I was slowly making my way to pick up my own daughter from school, I realized there were many parents that were not going to experience the same joy. The stress of my workday gave way to a somber commute. All I wanted to do was hold my child and be thankful that we got through another day of life.
My heart breaks for those families and people in Oklahoma today. I pray that they somehow get threw this.
Jennifer.
I’ve known this girl for so many years. We’ve seen a lot together. We’ve been through a lot together. And we survived it all with a lot of laughs, some tears, but most of all….our friendship has stood the test of time.
I’m grateful to have her in my life and these are a few of my favorite photos that I’ve shot of her over the past couple of years…
Bicycles.
I’ve been slacking on this blogging thing. I need (and want) to do better.
At least I’ve been making a point to pick up my camera…in spite of my always-present-workload from my job….
This was taken a couple of weeks ago.
This is Roxy. Sometimes, we call her Rockstar. Sometimes we call her Princess Wrinkles. Sometimes we say she’s our little sausage, cause she is chubby in an adorable sort of way.
We adopted her last June from the Humane Society. I went over there to see what kind of doggies they had and Roxy was on ‘sale’. She was so sweet and quiet in her pen when all of the other dogs were barking. I thought if she was on ‘sale’ then she might have been there for a while and it was clear she needed a good home. After formally meeting her, I decided she was the dog for us and brought her home and surprised CJ. To say she was ecstatic is an understatement and she has brought a tremendous amount of joy to our lives ever since. We love our little Roxy Rockstar. So sweet, she is.
CJ needed new sneaks….she has good taste ;)
A few photos from our trip to Islands of Adventure, Orlando
While we ventured around the entire park, the highlight of the whole experience were the Harry Potter rides and scenery. The Forbidden Journey ride was exhilarating, as we were able to fly through the trees and mountains with Harry. Of course, we also had to try the Butterbeer, which was some sort of root beer concoction….pretty tasty (although super sweet) stuff.
I had to pay a trip to Honeydukes candy store and oh boy, the fudge we came home with was amazing…
We had so much fun that I’ve purchased annual passes, as it’s a pretty good deal for Florida residents and whenever that theme park itch strikes, we’ll be ready!
We have company for dinner…
